The Shepherd's Door, formally Psalm 23 Ministries has been in existence since 1992.  Bishop Major McIntyre founded Psalms 23 Outreach Ministries, after serving over many years in ministry. The inspiration for the vision of The Shepherd's Door has its evolution from the success achieved, by I COR 13 in various parts of the country.  The Atlanta Chapter (only chapter), "The Shepherd's Door" began in 1994 and later extended its vision into an outreach program.  We have literally touched the lives of thousands of families, particularly youth in the city of Atlanta communities: promoting abstinence that is biblically base, also providing job assistance to help escape poverty, and a spiritual foundation to give vision and direction.  We currently have 11 staff members, 3 Executive leaders and 8 volunteers. God has given us specific instructions through our mercy ministry called H.O.P.E.

In 2006, we expanded our outreach program through project H-O-P-E, Homeless, Orphans, Prison, and Elderly, to further our vision to bring hope, restoration, and change to our community. H-O-P-E is having great success in meeting the needs of People.  Throughout the years our ministry have fed and clothed thousands of people in the downtown location of Atlanta. We visit the elderly in assisted living facilities and ministered to those incarcerated. The Shepherd's Door volunteers and staff are very proud of our success.  We have become a light of hope in our community by changing and touching lives with the love of Christ.

Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me. This God given scripture is what birth The Shepherd's Door -H-O-P-E.
